Here'r my shots - gawd dangit, thought I had a bunch of nice ones of the landing and lineup, for some reason FRAPS quit on me I guess. Too bad, they were great shots of everyone at the end!

Was a great flight as usual tho - thanks!

Stoopy...
How's come in your screenies, everybody's wheels show as down, and in mine or most others, only the person taking the shot is "appropriate" and everybody else appears as driving around on their bare bellies? I hate that. I thought it was because other's animations don't "show" or something. Even the shots from the Wilderness Camp a couple of weeks ago taken by MD or Fled were like my own...one AC has wheels in right position, the others look like they suffered gear collapse. It ain't fair, I tell ya'!

The only thing I can think of is I must have the option to send and receive animations to other players, in the multiplayer menu, enabled, even tho the thing I read from Jordan Welch at HC recommends having it off. I do that when flying at HC (which is once in a great while) but otherwise I leave it on.

I occasonally get that as well, tho. Last week at the Com-C wilderness camp, early in theday just Fled and I were there, he had his plane parked and idle most of the day and I was fartin' around as usual, making the supply run for grub and drink. His Bf109 was sitting at the end of the runway with no landing gear, just suspended.

But hey if someone wants to claim I'm using a "landing gear cheat" that's okay too.....I stay away from the trim tib at least!

Ah...that would be it. I understand that most servers request that you have that turned off as it increases the ping rate substantially, and impact frame rates for others on the same server. Looks good, though!

Ouch! Okay....I'm busted. Thanks for pointing it out tho, I wil be sure to disable it. No sense causing undue lag for anyone. But, heck. Looking at that first screenie I'm glad it was on for that at least. Its just too tempting to give these beauties the full treatment.

Well, I don't think you're looking at any jail time here, and maybe "frame rates" wasn't the best expression...."lag" would be the manifestation, but apparently it's well-documento that having the animation thingy active will have an undesireable effect. (It's a beech', though...I much preferred seeing the props spin on other aircraft and such...). Durn FS9 is way more laggy in MP than CFS3 was, and that's it's greatest weakness, as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know how formation flying can even work in FS9.... Sad

Okay: Reinstalled, FS9 said it was creating a new scenery database, but there was no change, so I unchecked it from the scenery library, exited, deleted original, reinstalled, added to new scenery database again, restarted, and....it's good!

There ya' go! Yep, you do have to either uncheck, or certainly, delete, the previous folder...or it uses some sort of cache to go to the old one (this is also deletable, I believe).

Say, what are the Gainesville fuzz doing at KORS?....a little out of your jurisdiction, ain't cha'? Laughing

Something about a wallet that was left in another OH-6 that's still parked on top of Mt. Hood. I pretended not to know anything but they're still hangin around...
