The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Dropped in at a Pre-Xmas car boot sale on my way home for a quick schmooze around and came across a near-mint copy of Hunnincuts Sherman on the second-hand book stall - it cost me £8 (about $10 to you yanks)
