LOL, yeah Stoop, it's been a real long time! I've been sucked into JKG32 now, training the young ones. Which is scary, cause you know how I used to fly. Hehehehehe

Actualy, I don't.....I don't believe I've ever had the pleasure, actually. I remember the days, long ago and at a crudhouse far away, of some involvement with....JG27 wasn't it? Wildbat, Adler, and them. Seems like decades ago....time flies when you're havin' fun flyin'!!!!

I think I flew with you guys once; at least with Hoppa back when you guys were formation flying in B-17s. I was doing fighter escort in a Focke, and some twit came in and started using you guys as target practice. He had the honor of being my very first online kill.

Yep, good ol' Heinz Alders. I miss the whole lot, cept for a few. Und they know who they are. Heheh.

Yeah, it's only been what, three years? And it does seem like forever.

I'm not a bad flier, but I have this unerring tendency not to fly unless I've had a few good brews in me, which loosens me up. That could be bad or good, depending on the mount of choice. Hahaa.

Hmmm.......formation flying B-17's in CFS3, eh? Well, the ol' archive of squad pix reveals that woulda been around October 2003 (Damn fine guess on the three years), back when we were still brave/dumb enough to mess with Abhistory planes online. I guess now, we can properly thank you for the escort and downing that bandit for us!

I actually have a pic from right around that time....this wouldn't have been the only flight, and frankly the details have faded away, mighta been the same flight you mention, or not....lotta water under that bridge now!

Your flying skills were certainly good enough that evening. Funny how everyoine has different refreshment habits online. Personally I do plain ol' ice water or cawffee....with a strict 'one sip per kill' rule....and I don't like to be thirsty, which is why I usually jumped on escort duty as well on these kinda flights.

Oh yeah....."Bob" aka "Adler" aka "Bobchen" signed up with us for a very brief stint as JG300 for a short spell, I think just to give it a whirl and find some online Bf109 pilots in his neck of the woods after the JG27 Adler days. Think he was still on dial-up then so it became frustrating for him, but he was/is a cool dude.

AHHHH the memories...........I remember it was darn near impossible to turn the 17 on the ground, involving a bunch of stuff with engine power. it usually took me three or four miles out in the trees to get turned around LOL. I also remember the Baroness being around some.
good to hear from ya!

Hey Hoppa....that sounded good so I took you up on it. Started CFS3 and hosted a room. Only problem was, you had TS muted or your sound turned down, I kept callin' ya and didn't get a response. Was entertaining to hear you on open mic occasionally chuckling at something (what WERE you doing?) or move your drink, or whatever it was, around though!

Had a good lively room going for a while. but am gettin' booted off fer the night....
