CFS1 !
Also tried FS98, CFS2 and IL2 Sturmovik, Forgotten Battles and Pacific Fighters but nothing comes close to the fun I had with CFS1 and the others who flew it.

CFS1 n jerry dragged me in here kickin, man that was way back in 99, never got back into combat flying after cfs1 died a death, i started flying fs soon after and started the around the world sunday flights with Idf_Falcon but work and new relationships kinda pushed me out of sunday playtime.

I mainly play bf2 and hook up with some guys from here, mostly i hang around the boards ready to pounce on Shades lol, oh yeah n to keep my eye on Sweets Avatars...

i must admit theres some good reading on this site, i also look in on the armour guys boards daily,

I was walkin' back to the farmhouse from the pig sty to play some CFS3 when my flying boots got mired in Sau dookey and I never broke loose. I just had my wife bring a computer out to the pen and FS9 from there, now.

DRB BACA,Tanker got me started- Euro kept me goin' with a bunch of good lads like, Sweep, Red , Squirrel and other good peeps.
Yes it was CFS and I flew in some great great squads and enjoyed em' all such as the : Flying Rebels, Stray Cats, Hurricane Aces and also the Venom Massacre..

All were great squads and full of interesting folks but I have been with the JG27 squadron from wayyy back when Janes WW2 fighters was flyin'. They all are good folks.. mostly from 'merrica but they can fly them all.

I don't fly much anymore but it has always been a great time.

Ahhhhh Sweep and Red... Sunday afternoon enjoyin Red's sweet voice (and windin Sweep up so he gets mad enough I could occasionally get on his P51's six!).
Happy days.
Heheheh.

Favourite squads I've flown with/against (not exclusive, or in order, just the ones I remember havin most fun battles with):-
EURO, EW, BS, RCAF, FR, Shadows, SW, PS, HA, M8's, RAF...

Was never about winning a game for me. Was only ever about tellin Tanker how fugly he wuz. lololol

One of the funniest games I ever had was when I was in me EURO tags one Sunday, when I used to set aside some time to help show noob's how to play the game.
Anyway, some guy didn't know me, or what EURO meant, and suggested his squad would train me to be a better dogfighter.
Everyone in main chat did the usual thing of building me up to be a 1 day old noob.
He got quite insistent and eventually (under considerable encouragement from the afore mentioned squads) I obliged him, and two of his 'instructors', with a game.
I let them host and they asked for 2 more straight afterwards.
Whole thing lasted 30 minutes and then they asked if Id mind training them.
LOL!!!

Remember some of them battles with Waxr, Rilla, Vines, Mustang (Scottie), Fwog, I_R_Blind, Boon, Rang, Dugite, Exemplo, Squareborn, Draken, MoAce, et al back in 2000-2002?

Gettin 'em all on Roger Wilco together was amazing fun (except I could never understand what the hell Rilla wus sayin. LMAO!).

Them wuz the bestest times and some of the most frantic furballs in stocks. lol

And flyin Sunday 2v2's with P51_Nimrod (me 1st wingman, who's now expecting his first kid btw).

*sigh*
How far away it all seems now.
Wink

[edit: Keep thinkin of more names to add to that list of funsters, lolol - One of the PG's was exceptional fun as well, but I can't remember which one it wuz now.

Rodent you forgot about me ya fugly loookin, gimped up, stinky, poo flingin, sob. Lets see I got started back in CFS when it first came out and I've flown with some of the best. Too many to name. Some are still with us and the others have passed on to the great sim in the sky.

Over them years I've met some great people, even you shades, and every last one of ya are like family to me. Of course there were a few rotten apples in the crowd and I think we all know who they were. But that was part of the game and it made it fun and intresting. Since the passing of CFS I have bascily stopped gaming. It has just lost its fun. Maybe one day if/when theres a CFS convention I'll be able to see all your smiling mugs there. But until that time, stay safe.

ROFLMAO...

Well, Aviation has always been one of my interests and I built many plane models as a kid, had the usual dreams of flyin', etc...

As far as flight sims go, my very first one was on a 1.44mb floppy and VERY crude, but at the time, it was fun none the less.

Some other early sims I flew offline: FS95, JetFighterII, JanesWWII and one more I can't remember.

THEN...............

I found CFS!! WOOOHOOOOO....this was THE game! How cool this game was, but hold on, what's this? Multiplayer? What's Multiplayer?

HOW COOL WAS THIS? It was all fun at this point and I quickly made my wife a "CFS widow"...lol Com-Central was born this year and we've seen some outstanding people in this game and most of them are still around in some way or another. What a community we have...

You must be thinking of PG_Raptor... What a guy! Wink

I started with FS2000 and Jetfighter III. They were good games, but then I found CFS.... Woo! Quickly joined PG, and made some really great friends from then on. PGTigercat, Bearcat, Maximus, Vlad, Ciarian, Lee, Ducky, etc, etc, etc. Flying with RAF and RAAF was lots of fun too, as was the H_Squad. Is it bad when a 20 year is saying "Ahh, those were the days!" ?
