Type 59 Tank at Fort Riley, Kansas, USA
Type 59 Tank
S/N: 911G355 (Stamped on glacis)
Location: BRO Memorial (Kapaun Chapel, corner of Bullard Street and Normandy Drive), Ft. Riley, KS
This vehicle has the T54-style hull with the driver MG port, with no ventilators on the turret roof. The vehicle was probably originally displayed in Germany after being captured in Iraq during the Gulf War, then moved to Ft. Riley with the 1st Infantry Division in about 2006.
