The unknown user agent in question is apparently Safari.

I'm currently using Firefox to browse this site at the moment, but I would rather switch back to Safari.

I'm on a Mac so Safari is my browser of choice. Will the site be compatible with it again?

Hi Boeman!

We've noticed the new FireFox 3.0 release has the same issues. At the moment, we haven't found a cure or workaround, but we're aware of the issues.

As soon as we figure out what the problem is and how to fix it, we'll post the news up. Did you try changing your security settings on your browser to a lower setting?

We should be able to get his resolved and this is a security setting we have in place and it doesn't recognize your browser/OS.

It's unfortunate that our security has to be set to catch a lot of the hackers out there, but we feel it's necessary to keep our members as secure as possible. Wink

Have you noticed that both firefox and safari seems to show dramatically different themes? Not a serious issue by any means, but odd nonetheless.

Yes, we have and Opera shows yet another issue. We try to use/view with as many browsers as possible when in the development stage, but sometimes we have to get the site up and running and adjust as necessary. Wink

The big 2 browsers are IE and FireFox and I use Safari and Opera now and again along with several less well known browsers to check for display issues. Unfortunately, you can't code for all of them so we tend to stick to the more popular browsers. Smile

Since your last visit, we've had a site upgrade and a site move, possibly two.
Bush has had a fair bit on his plate lately (That's why he's so fa.. err.. jolly).

He's probably forgot to enable other browsers, I trust he'll be straight on to the problem when he reads your post and he finishes dinner.

Don't worry, we aren't trying to get rid of folks, well, maybe one, aka the rat.

Your problem should be sorted out shortly or a post will be made here explaining any difficulties.

We take security very serious and while we've nothing to hide other than our members user names and passwords, that's a serious enough reason for us to provide as much security as we can. One the ways we do that is by checking the "Browser User Agent". All browsers has an agent that tells us the OS (Operating System) and Browser that's used. There are a lot of legitimate systems in 'web land' and we have a set of rules that allows all the 'legit' UA's (User Agents) in and blocks potentially dangerous bots and 'leech' mechanisms.

Some of the really new and some of the really old UA's needs to coded in as we find them. Wink
