Yes.
The simplest way is to just copy a working version from an old system to your Win10 machine. Make sure not to put the copy in either the Program Files or Program Files (x86) folder though.

- IL-2 patching Guide

The retail DVD version of IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 is v4.07m.
The game version may be found in the bottom left of the game startup screen.
The installation file path defaults to:
(32 bit systems): C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946
(64 bit systems): C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946

Installation Tip:
**Changing "Program Files" to "Games" when you are installing the sim will make the patching process have fewer problems on machines that are using any Windows operating systems after WinXP.

Modified Filepath: C:\Games\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946
(Use the same modified filepath for both 32 and 64 bit versions.)
