Hey, how do I give myself one of those neat pictures such as the smiling pig, tank, or whatever? It will take this non-computer literate person a while to learn these options. Thanks for all the hard work!!!

Jeff, Welcome!
First, you need a suitable picture. Then, it must be sized no greater than 100 pixels on a side using whatever pic editor you might have. Then, you need to "host" it somewhere so you can link to it. This is where a Photobucket account ( or maybe even your nifty Kodak thing you emailed me) comes in. Also, we have "gallery" posting capability here at Com-Central. You can't hotlink to other sites from it (bandwidth control) but you can hotlink to it here...I believe.

When you get your pic selected, sized, and uploaded somewhere, then go to your "account" options, and a menu will appear...including one for avatar. Just put the link in there and "Save changes". Voila!...you're set!
