Post subject: May 4th Flight

According to our discussion last Sunday we are back to real Bush Flying...kind of...

We shift our airplanes from good old Europe to North America, to the ORBX Scenery Northern California to be precise. We will discontinue the very old tradition of continuing from where we left off the week before, instead I'll try to find interesting little flights somewhere in the area...

Our first trip in North America will show us part of the beauty of the scenery and will also give us some challenge.

We will start at O68, follow valleys and canyons in low level (if so desired) to the most beautiful Yosemite National Park. Then we turn eastward to either land or touch 'n go at Mammoth Yosemite. Now its time to climb and climb....minimum safe altitude for the last part of the flight is 13900 feet, not real bush flying but interesting anyway. Destination is Lake Tahoe (KTVL).
I flew this with a C172 but it may be a good idea to fly the first part with a Cessna or the like and land at Mammoth to change planes.

Anyway, the trip has a length of about 170 NM, not too long for a slower plane. Real weather may be a real challenge....

See you all Sunday

I just tried to connect with Team Speak and it is down. I'll try again in 5 minutes which is 15 minutes to flight time today and if it fails I will go to the Digital Theme Park TS.

Zero minutes to flight time. No connection. Sad

Edit: It's 25 minutes later now. I'm taking off solo. I don't know how to find anyone on DigitalThemePark. The people connecting/disconnecting constantly drives me crazy, then I get booted for too much idle time. I can't see anything familiar, nobody I recognize.

See ya next week, maybe?.

That' s strange, we were in the Casual Flights channel, Fled, Wingnut and myself. I think we should make this our usual backup if Bushy's server is offline. Sorry for that Jeff!
