Tankspotting season started !!
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

M10 TD currently being restored to static display condition, will be displayed at Colleville too. It only has the gearbox, no engine.

My season started too. Last Saturday I was in Bergamo. This time I was able to wait until the perfect conditions were available and got pretty nice pictures of the Semovente da 75/18 over there, without the usual hard shadow caused by the trees.

I'll post pictures soon.

Was the Sherman originally on a roundabout at Falaise?
Weather looks as crap as it is here, btw!

I don't know if it was on a roundabout, but it stayed for years in front of the Falaise August 1944 museum.

When I did my tour of Italy this summer, the sun made things complicated to get nice photos of the tanks dispayed outdoors. I even did a full walkaround of an M4A2 in Chieti very early in the morning, before the sun rises, to prevent any shadow to be on the pictures. However, some photos were blurred because of the lack of light.
