FCS Manned Ground Vehicles receive XM designations
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Thanks, Neil! There is a video there with a Lt Gen Stephen Speakes. I knew him as 1LT Speakes when he was Squadron Motor Officer, 3/3 ACR. I worked for him as a Sheridan turret mechanic!

FYI, I found this brief linked on another site. www.dtic.mil/ndia/2007...vidOgg.pdf

You can see on slide 3 that the FCS Manned Ground Vehicles have been given XM designations:

XM1201 Reconaissance and Surveillance Vehicle
XM1202 Mounted Combat System
XM1203 Non Line-of-Sight Cannon
XM1204 Non Line-of-Sight Mortar
XM1205 Field Maintenance and Recovery Vehicle
XM1206 Infantry Carrier Vehicle
XM1207 Medical Vehicle - Evacuation
XM1208 Medical Vehicle - Treatment
XM1209 Command and Control Vehicle

Somewhat interesting they chose to start them in the 1200-series, rather than the new low-number series that was started with the M1 Abrams (which was originally to be the M815) - although Stryker was in the 1100-series...

The brief also has a decent overview of the MGVs starting on slide 11 and on the NLOS-C specifically... and the UGVs as well.
