Australian War Memorial restoration facility photos
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Australian War Memorial restoration facility photos

A friend who is currently visiting Australia sent these photos from the Australian War Memorial restoration facility. This is located in Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory, sort of like the District of Columbia. You can look into their Web site at: www.awm.gov.au/

He had many more images in the memory stick of his Nikon now residing at the bottom of Sydney Harbour. You may imagine his look of disbelief at watching it being swept overboard by a sudden jibe of the sailboat. Crying or Very sad

All images by Jim Goodall.

Is it the lighting, or did they buy a bunch of yellow paint on sale? Seems to be a pre-dominant color.

My friend had to borrow a camera to shoot these photos and neglected to adjust the camera's white balance for incandescent lighting.

He's sad about this, too. Crying or Very sad

It looks like it has the wide barrel and 'muzzle brake' of the flamethrower version.
