While 'on the clock' today, I drove thru Hodgenville and found an M41 sitting in town. I was surprized to see it there, but a few coworkers who are life long residents of Hodgenville, basically said, 'its been there forever'.

Tomorrow I'll do a drive by, with camera, and get some good photos and any SN data I can find.

I checked and it is not on the AFV register so this is a 'new' entry. I'll have more tomorrow.

Well It took a few extra days due to some unusually heavy rains (3 days of nonstop heavy rain, locally recording over 12-15 inches).

After battling for a day or so with over 2 inches of water in my basement, things are drying out.

Meanwhile, a friend has given me a disk with some decent photos taken Monday. I'll post them later.

The M41 in Hodgenville was dedicated in 1970 to the American Legion Post. Serial Number is 3243 and the RN is 30186016. The RN may or may not be original but there is evidence that the number has been the same for many years and numerous repainting over old stencilling.
