APG and Churchville 1988.
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: APG and Churchville 1988.
Found TL4 and TL 5 M1 MBTs at Churchville, Automotive Test area, along with R001 and R002 (M88E2 ARVs) which I think the taped on TL-4 and TL5 = Tank Load. TL4 was an early M1 with 105mm gun, and TL5 was the M1 with 120mm gun. Before the M88 was classified "Hercules" they tested 2 at Churchville and both of the M1s have plates welded onto them for increased weight.
The M41 light tank which used to be on the road at Aberdeen, looks like the one at Ft. AP Hill, at least the way the 76mm gun is tilted. It and the T49 light tank (M41 with 90mm gun) are both main gate displays at the fort. Rick
