What's on Milweb
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Lots of interesting armour. A lot from the IoW museum.

Speaking of the IoW museum, I'm not sure that it is open anymore. Here are few photos of the "vehicles conservation center" at Bovington. The M4A1(76) and Churchill belonged to the IoW museum :

It does appear to have closed. Unfortunately, having such a specialised museum, on an island with only ferries to link it to the mainland, proved to be less than ideal.

that's what I was thinking, because I considered a visit but it's rather complicated to access it.

Museums must struggle for foot fall, I was lucky through work to visit Saumur last week, it was fantastic collection, but..... there were only three cars in the carpark! The place was deserted, they must struggle to cover costs, let along make a profit to invest back into the infrastructure. I guess that is why museums do so well in or near population centres.....having said that Bovington has never felt empty when I have visited.
On the plus side the demise of the IOW museum has opened up the collection of ongoing projects to private enthusiasts (like myself) for completion. Not that I had the spare cash around just at the moment to secure the Churchill MkIV.

I don't believe the Bov vehicles ever belonged to IOWMM - I think they were loaned there, possibly in connection with being restored, and have simply been returned.

That's correct Trevor, now that the museum has dissolved all official loans have been returned. Dave Arnold is at the same time selling off his extensive collection of regular WW2 armour projects and those that were recovered from the ranges over the past 20 years.
