I suppose that sort of fencing might make sense with an aircraft, but I can't imagine what even the most determined vandal would be able to do to merit such protection on a tank!

They should get the 'Get off my lawn' award. Talk about overkill, unless they had problems in the past with vandals...

Which is so sad. Back in the day, surplused tanks and aircraft were a regular fixture at municipal parks precisely for the kids to play on. Rolling Eyes

The tanks would have sealed hatches, but the aircraft often had the canopies removed specifically so you could get in the seat and play Steve Canyon.
