The Man!
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I believe it is an early M-3 light tank. It still has the sponsen mounted MG, the 37mm is a later model than your picture of the M-2, Turret has different pistol port arrangement, idler wheel is the large 'trailing link' style used in the M3 & M5.

It's funny the caption with the photo reads, "Patton driving a tank on the desert"!

I'd did some looking around and it appears to be an M3A1. The main gun is definately not what was on the M2 series.
