Great, done:

Fort Knox Hummel (UID189)

It's becoming a very good photographic history of this vehicle.

Roger, let me know if you want me to use a different name/avatar for you or if you have a better estimate of the date.

Also, any chance I could also add your pictures of the Pz IIIs?

Meanwhile I've added my photo's of the British, French and Soviet vehicles at FK, plus general views of the Post:

Preserved Tanks at Fort Knox

That marks a small milestone for PreservedTanks.com, taking the number of photo's on the site to 3000.

Well, this is very interesting. People who will repaint this vehicle at Fort Benning will be able to find the year of the layer of painting which they are scratching Mr. Green

Trevor

Actually I think AJ's Hummel photo is more of mid- 50's. I believe the series of photos he has were primarily done in the early to mid 1950's, not too long after the museum first opened (1949). That is based on how the exhibits are configured based on numerous exhibit hall changes from 1949 - 1955(ish).

Don

Hey Gary...

Will Charles L. be moving with the library? How about the rest of the staff?

None of the staff, except for the director Len Dyer, will be going to Benning. Len will be the new director of the museum there.

Um, thanks... But unfortunately the only info I had before to differentiate the M84s was the RN - did you happen to get a pic of the side of the hull (if it was painted on there)?

Neil
