Pierre-Olivier was looking for this, so let's start from the Panthers. The first is a wreck, recovered in Ukraina. Unfortunately they added plexiglass around it, so pictures are hard to take:

Here is the other Panther. If you put a coin (2 EUR) you can make the tracks and turret move. Kids love it and the Museum collect some extra money. I just wish they used an M47 or Leopard for that Rolling Eyes

Yes

It was a well known way for Allied tank-hunting parties to take on Panthers towards the end of the war - they just waited for the crew to run out of change before attacking.

I haven't yet got around to putting my Sinsheim photo collection online, but you can see some of the German vehicles from when I put Preserved German Tanks online in 2008 - it's interesting to see how the vehicles have changed:

I have concerns about the mannequin on the right too!!!

It is hard for a military museum to appeal to general as well as specialist subject visitors. top marks for looking after the kit, hmmm on the displays.

Sinsheim is not an military museum, in the manner that it is miltary (armed forces) or military in the manner of military equipment

Sinsheim is actualy an technical museum
Besides the tanks they have planes, cars, motorbikes, steam engines, trains, farming machinery, musical organs, etc

In basic: all the technical stuff
The tanks and other military stuff is just an part of the total collection
