Its official - Mrs VB and I have collected the set!! We've seen BOTH existing T95s.

Took a ride out to Ft McCoy, WI and visited the Equipment Display. A great collection of stuff!!! Any boys' dream display - from tanks to cranes to dump trucks to fire engines to - my favorite - the laundry trailer!

Anyway,
Some photos of the T95.

Enjoy!

VB

This is some new photos of another existing T95, taken today.

T95 (Test Bed) (..E13.??)

McCoy is a neat display. I would love to get my hands on a couple of their vehicles. I was there on TDY July - Nov 05, my final 'mission' prior to retiring.

Regards
Don

Dang!!! Maybe I should edit my post to read:

Seen BOTH publicly displayed, easily accessible T95s.

Thanks for the photos, Don.

Was she a test bed for a gun to shoot around corners?

Cheers!

Is it Anniston or APG with the other T95 (test rig)??

The one that is similiar to the one here at Ft Knox, but with orange 'low-rider' suspension....

Don

Bob,

Nope - hadn't forgot it as the Weirton T95 was the other T95 we have seen. I posted photos of it on 3/11/10 to your old post:

I thought there were only the two (Ft McCoy and Weirton, WV) in existence. Ooops.

Nope, here's the T95 survivors:

T95E13 Medium Tank SN 8 (likely chassis no. 6, RN 9B1051), Fort Knox

T95 with M48 turret SN 12, Fort McCoy

T95 RN 9B2030, Anniston Army Depot

T95E8 with M48 turret, Weirton, WV

There may also be a T95E8 range target wreck (chassis No. 2, RN 9B1050) at Camp Grayling, MI.

Speaking of the T95, this photo just came up on Ebay. Looks to be the one now at Anniston

The RN matches up, but obviously not the same turret.

Seems to be the problem with tracking the whole T95 project. There were fairly few pure T95s (Hull & turrets) produced and a considerable number of turret swapping, then that combination was given a different classification, you can have several specific types of T95, built from the same hull.

Quite a confusing project to follow.

Don
