Stopped in Santa Rosa, NM this weekend and found this sitting on the side of the road. Only got the number off the left rear. Couldn't see inside even though the hatches were open; bees had taken up residence.

That is one sorry sight. Santa Rosa is hardly a financially challenged community (students notwithstanding). It's sad to the old girl (and the park) in such a state of neglect.

Well just to prove that you have to get up early to beat some of the CIA members to out of the way tanks. This one was spotted by Roy Lingle back in 2007!

Oops, Santa Rosa, NM, not CA.

Don't know where that is, and I lived in NM!

I was hoping she would have been recovered by Fort Bliss by now,

That VFW is now defunct and that poor old girl is open to any vandal, being unlocked and all. Technically they are in violation of the loan agreement by not welding her up. At least we know she's still there, Thanks.
