I saw this on another forum and thought it was pretty cool. These are not "new builds" or replicas. These are the real thing.

Saturday, August 6, 2011 was a historic day in aviation history as the worlds only flying original Focke-Wulf 190 flew in formation with one of only two airworthy Messerschmitt Bf-109 E-3s. The Focke-Wulf 190A-5 features its original BMW motor and was restored to the exact condition it was in during its service in World War Two. This was the first time these two aircraft were in the sky together since WWII.

Both of these aircraft belong to Paul Allen's Flying Heritage Collection in Everett, Washington, home of the flying warbirds.

Video was shot with Canon VIXIA HG20

Very nice! It's great to hear how those engines actually sounded back then. Awesome!

That is one of the sexiest things I have ever seen. Or heard!

It's funny but in the combat sims the FW190 seems to be a very small and hard to hit target from the back, so you get the impression its a small plane. But seeing the real thing flying next to a Bf109 you get to see what a big full-figured girl she really is. And when it was taxiing back to the ramp did it remind anyone else of a Bearcat?

Everett WA is just 58 miles from KORS as the crow flies. Just sayin'.... Smile

If my memory serve me right I think those two actually belong to JG300. They have been on order for some time and the final payment of Strawberries is ready to be handed over. They should be at the Sty in a couple of days

Cool
