#1: M1A1 "Constitution Bicentennial Tank" Author: Geoff_walden, Posted: Sun May 27, 2018 10:17 pm ---- I was perusing some old Armor magazines, and I ran across mention of an M1A1 that left the Detroit Tank Plant on 17 Sept. 1987, the 200th anniversary of the signing of the US Constitution. The tank had a brass plaque inside the turret noting this. It was delivered to 4-8 Cav, 3AD, who had recently won the CAT Trophy.
Does anyone know the current whereabouts of this tank? ... Unit?
