Just wanted to close this out with a report that I think I have found and fixed my problem with the site locking up as I log on from my home PC.
I openned up MS Window Explorer and went down the tree looking into every '+' marked folder I had. Boy is that tree long when you do that.
Bury in three differert folders with names that made no sence, I found some files with the name of an anti-viris/firewall program that I had removed using the Control Panel, add/remove function.
I deleted each one of those files and after rebooting the PC, found I can now log in, move around, and post!
