Hello Neil,

amazing list, I've just downloaded it when looknig for Panzer IV located in the USA.
Checking this, I noticed that you mention 2 StuG IV in the Patton Museum, Fort Knox. In fact, it's 2 StuG III.
There are only 2 known StuG IV all around the world, one was found in Poland few weeks ago.

Here is a link of the vehicles stored or exhibed in this museum :

Best Regards,

Pierre-Olivier

Neil,
I don't think you have this M60A3 in Cherokee North Carolina on your list:

Or this M75: www.flickr.com/photos/...tanktanks/

Neil,
just check up here :

West Point Museum

Seems that the FT-17 tank doesn't appears on your list. Also, I'm not sure about the HVSS sherman.

Version 2.3 is now available for download!:

216.176.86.154/afv/USA_AFVs.pdf

Major changes for this version include:
* The file-name no longer includes the version number. This means I can upload later versions without having to give out a new link each time.
* Corrected M60 listings - many thanks to Joe D and others for their help!
* Identification of rare "only surviving," "one of X" vehicles.

Oh yeah, and I included a new cover graphic. I think this is the one that Jim gave me an award for, so it must be up to snuff Wink

Thanks again to Joe D, armyjunk2, smoore and many others for their help!

Neil, the link to "David Maynard's Surviving WW1 Tanks" webpage doesn't work on the Register. You should replace it by this one :

http://www.landships.freeservers.com/survivors.htm

I should send him a mail about other FT-17s and 6-tons that are not on his list...

AUBURN
WWII Victory Museum, 5634 County Rd
Renault UE USA ind

Its' a French vehicle..

Also, you have a "sFH 13 Marder I" out at Aberdeen in your list, but this vehicles carries a 10.5 cm leFH 18(Sf), so it's not a Marder. The correct name is :
10.5mm leFH 18(Sf) auf Gw Lorraine Schlepper(f)
I suggest that you use the following : GW Lorraine(f) 10.5cm leFH18(Sf) or something like that..

The Hummel which was previously at Aberdeen is now at WTS Koblenz (it now carries a nice Strawberry cake camo.. ). In the footnote 153 you forgot to mention the Wespe which is in UK in the Wheatcroft collection along with the Panzer II, and which was also part of the Aberdeen collection.

The correct spelling, according to "Achtung Panzer" website and Wikipedia is Sturmpanzer Brummbär and not Brumbär.

That's it Wink

That's why I asked, it seemed kind of gray
its in Oak Harbor, Washington
if anyone wants numbers I can try and see what they are next time I am down there
I am also trying to confirm rumors of a ferret here in Anacortes, meaning if I see then I will beleive it.

Hello Jack

WELCOME!! I don't remember either vehicles, during my 4 years, "On the Islands". But that was 94-98.

Here are a couple of shots from that time.

Hello all, I have just uploaded the brand new France AFV Register. This was a truly collaborative project between myself and Pierre- Olivier, but honestly he deserves most of the credit for collecting the info together.

216.176.86.154/afv/France_AFVs.pdf

FYI, if you want to see preserved combat-damaged Shermans, France is the place. I dont know of any other country where you can find so many....

Eventually this info will get included into a larger Europe AFV Register...

As always, comments, corrections & suggestions are welcome.

Hopefully a long overdue update to the USA AFV Register is on the way shortly... I have already posted a small update to the Canada AFV Register - adding the 2 Skink turrets I remembered being discussed on here before...

V2.5 of the USA AFV Register has been uploaded. It features more information on M1917s and FT-17s thanks to Hayes Otoupalik, the Fort Sill Museum collection thanks to Dustin Roderigas, the Patton Museum collection thanks to Dontos, and a few other updates thanks to Bob Smart, Jeff Lewis, armyjunk2 and others.

Comin' too late for this update. I just got the info. The company 'Tankride LLC' in Morristown, MN seems to have some vehicles (DUKW, Ferret), check up the website :

http://www.tankride.com/index.html

One of the tanks is a T-34/85 and here is it's history :
" This tank was built in late 1944 by the Russians. It is believed that it was captured by the Viking Division of the German Army during World War II. Then used against the Russians. When it was bought from the Polish Government, it was painted in German field gray over the original Russian green. It is has been repainted to a Russian color scheme. This the only combat active WWII Tank in the world available to the general public to Ride in, Drive, or just crawl around in and look at."

1300$ the drive..

Yes, it shouldn't be on the list, but since it is very unusual to see, I thought this would be a good place to mention the two Pak38 outside the VFW post in Bel Air, MD.
