US Combat Forces in Germany????
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I guess the 2nd Cavalry Regiment is at Vilseck but aside from that I was wondering what US Army combat forces are left in Germany? Any armor left?

Yes.

2nd Brigade, 1st AD was reflagged as 170th Infantry Brigade (including 1-37 Armor reflagged as 4-70 Armor).
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/..._States%29

2nd Brigade, 1st ID was reflagged as 172nd Infantry Brigade (including 1-77 Armor reflagged as 3-69 Armor - dont ask me why a brigade historically associated with Alaska and arctic warfare is now based in Germany...)

Thanks Neil, that's what I was wondering. They sure do a lot of reflagging. So I'd guess both of the old units will be reactivated stateside? The 1st ID brigade might be the one going to Knox. Sure hard to keep up!

Thats why the current Army uniform uses so much velcro,.....

I wonder if the proper 'patch of the day' is designated on the unit training schedule in the 'uniform of the day' block...... Mr. Green
