Pressed Steel ! : An American Company's Contribution to Victory in World War II


"Pressed Steel!" is the story of an American company that produced outstanding armored vehicles for the U.S. Army during World War II and contributed greatly to the Allied victory. They were praised for their workmanship and earned the "E for Excellence" from the military. They started producing M3 General Grant tanks for the British Army in 1941 and went on to be one of the largest suppliers of Armored Fighting Vehicles (AFVs) for the U.S. Army. They produced such vehicles as the M4 Sherman tank, the M12 and M40 Self-Propelled Guns, the M7 SPH and many more including the huge T-29 Heavy Tank.

The book contains many rare photos that are from the collection of the author and came from the company’s Chief Engineer.
