Recollections of an Army Brat photos and story
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Greetings,
Wesley Trindal was an Army contract engineer in the 1950s through the 1980s. From time-to-time, he sends some pretty good articles to Military Vehicles Magazine. One of his best was his "Recollections of an Army Brat" in which he showed vehicles that he encountered as a boy during 1939-1940.

I thought forum members might enjoy seeing some of these vehicles, so posted the article and photos here:

Interesting pictures. I assume that is in the upcoming issue?

So by joining the Foundation you can help the Aberdeen Ordnance Museum and get articles such as this (as well as the regular Aberdeen update column in the magazine, but y'all don't need that you have me here Wink
